The Centre for Spiritual Progress to Great Awakening successfully got the grant from the Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Program (ESR Program) in 2012 to operate a vegetarian restaurant.
The purpose of running a vegetarian restaurant is to provide job opportunities for the underprivileged in our society, for instance, divorcees, single parents, recuperated patients of emotional disorder and cancer, and the like. Our centre provides care and counselling for their emotional disturbances apart from helping them in meeting their practical needs. They are able to earn a living in an environment with love and thus work their way to a better life.
In the course of preparing for the opening of the vegetarian restaurant, our centre offered intensive training to the staff at the Meritland Training Centre. The chefs have been trained to make different types of vegetarian food like seasonal dishes, snacks, dim sum and festive food using natural ingredients.
Our team has gone through a long training period and has absorbed feedback from various sources. They now have a solid foundation and have received support and recognition from customers.
Our social enterprise vegetarian restaurant ATEEN is now formally in operation. We commit ourselves to provide you with healthy lunch and dinner. Please come and give us your generous support.
